Description
This collection comprises the publications of the University Hills residential community on the University of California,
Irvine campus. Included are announcements, newsletters, brochures, invitations, and fliers.
Background
University Hills is a 200-acre residential community for University of California, Irvine faculty and staff. It is located
on the UCI campus and includes houses, condominiums, and apartments. Houses and condominiums are individually owned, but
the land on which they stand is owned by the University of California Board of Regents and leased to Irvine Campus Housing
Authority (ICHA). Individual lots are subleased to home buyers. Because only the structures are bought and sold, the University
is able to keep housing prices below average costs in the Irvine area.
