Description
Eric Howard (1895-1943), was a lecturer and instructor at the extension division, University of California. His publications include Famous Californians of today and yesterday (1923). The collection consists of manuscripts of poems, articles, an unpublished novel, and published works by Howard.
Background
Howard was born on May 18, 1895, in Baltimore, Maryland; attended UC Berkeley (1912-15), and studied literature and psychology at Harvard and Columbia; in 1923 became a lecturer and instructor at the extension division, University of California; publications include Famous Californians of today and yesterday (1923); he died on May 17, 1943.
