agricultural costs, wartime economy, food problems of post-war Europe, and world
population problems; correspondence; newsclippings; pamphlets; mementos; and other
papers relating to Bennett's travels to Hawaii (1942), Japan (1947), and
Africa.
Background
Director, Stanford Food Research Institute (1952-1962); executive director (1942-1951);
faculty member (1922-1962). Bennett was an authority on the economics of food
consumption.
