Daily journals kept by Thomas H. Douglas, 1889-1891, regarding weather, planting activities, and other work associated with campus landscaping; entry for April 29, 1891, mentions trees planted during visit of President Benjamin Harrison; list of trees and shrubs advised to be propagated at Palo Alto, signed by Frederick Law Olmsted, 1886; planting key for the Arboretum, 1923; and a report by Jones and Stokes Associates, "Biological assessment of the arboretum region of Stanford University for the Palm Drive reconstruction project," 1994. Also includes several pressed leaves found in the 1889 journal.
