Description
Copy negatives of original images in a scrapbook owned by Mary Hill Skougaard, with photocopies of most of the original images. Subjects include KZSU engineers and staff, live broadcasts, and parties; individuals include Bill Kane, Fred Steiner, Rosemarie Armstrong [Ostberg], Peter F. Dawson, Mary Hill [Skougaard], and Steve Phillips. Some of these images were used to illustrate C. Stewart Gillmor?s article ?Stanford Sadie and the Early Years of KZSU Radio Broadcasting,? SANDSTONE AND TILE, Winter 1999.
Background
Mary Hill Skougaard (AB 1950 in communications) was the first female station manager at Stanford?s student radio station, KZSU.
