Description
Correspondence, memoranda, minutes, drafts of reports, charts,
and other items pertaining to the removal of limitations on the number of women students
admitted to Stanford, the academic ramifications, effects on fund raising, and other
concerns.
Background
The Subcommittee was charged in November 1970 to assess the impact on the University of
increasing the total undergraduate enrollment through the admission of significantly
more females, considering issues of student housing, faculty, facilities, and income
from increased tuition.
