Scope and Content Note

Contains both personal and professional correspondence. While largest portion concerns Hume's work with the California Council on Oriental Relations, there is much concerning his early life and work in the theater at Harvard, in Detroit, and elsewhere. Also included are files related to his book shop, The Sign of the Palindrome, in Berkeley, California.
