Description
Larry N. Gerston is a professor of political science at San Jose State University. His work concerns issues of regional government, highway travel, light rail, and traffic and housing. The collection consists of materials concerning the history of the California Democratic Council and includes original correspondence of CDC president Gerald N. Hill, clippings and other printed items, ephemera, and photocopies of letters and papers.
Background
Gerston received his AB at UC Berkeley and his MA and Ph.D at UC Davis; professor of political science, San Jose State University; has been concerned with issues of regional government, highway travel, light rail, and traffic and housing; wrote Politics in the golden state: the California connection (c.1984), The deregulated society (c.1988), American government: politics, process and policies (1993), and Public policy making: process and principles (c.1997).
