Correspondence, typescript articles, programs, and other conference records from the conference at Stanford University in April 1986 sponsored by the Center for Research on Women and on the subsequent work to prepare selected papers for the publication, REVEALING LIVES: AUTOBIOGRAPHY, BIOGRAPHY, AND GENDER, edited by Susan Groag Bell and Marilyn Yalom.

Susan G. Bell is a historian and Affiliated Scholar at the Stanford Institute for Research on Women and Gender (formerly the Center for Research on Women). She has published numerous books and articles on women's history.
