of the President's Commission on Privatization in investigating and making recommendations concerning the desirability of
transferring various functions and assets of the United States government to the private sector (conclusions published as
Privatization: Toward More Effective Government: Report of the President's Commission on Privatization [Washington, 1988]).
An American economist, Annelise Graebner Anderson was a staff member for the Republican 1968 and 1980 presidential campaign
committees, and a part of the 1980-1981 presidential transition team. During 1980, she was a senior policy adviser to the
presidential campaign of Ronald Reagan, and as Associate Director of the Office of Presidential Personnel, worked on staffing
the departments of Treasury, Transportation, and Commerce during the transition to the first Reagan administration.
