Description
Henry John Bruman (1913- ) was a assistant and associate professor (1945-55), professor, and from 1957-61, chairman of the Department of Geography at UCLA. He specialized in cultural history and the geography of Latin America. The collection consists of photographs, ephemera, memorabilia and a list of his publications.

Henry John Bruman was born on March 25, 1913 in Berlin, Germany; AB, UCLA, 1935; Ph.D, UC Berkeley, 1940; assistant and associate professor (1945-55), afterwards professor, and from 1957-61, chairman of the Department of Geography, UCLA; specialized in cultural history and the geography of Latin America; publications include Aboriginal Drink Areas in New Spain (1940).
